2010 USA MetroGirls Tour; Thursday 22nd July to 6^th August 2010

Thank you for your attendance at the Parents meeting in December. It was well attended and gave us all the opportunity to meet each other as a group, in particular welcoming this years intake of players and their parents.

Thank you for all the returned Player Profile sheets and photocopies of the player’s passports; there are few outstanding and for those parents/players we have included an additional profile form with this news letter which we ask to be returned as soon as possible with the passport copy.

Parents who are obtaining updated passports for your daughter, we recommend that applications are submitted as soon as possible, if not already done so. If you have received renewed passports please will you forward us a copy of the key page(s).

USA Immigration ‘on-line Visa waiver: As discussed at the meeting all persons flying from the UK to the USA are required to pre register their journey and entry to the US on-line. This applies to all members of the tour group and each player needs to individually complete the application. We recommend that this is done as soon as possible for those with current passports.

· Page 1: click on the text ‘all of the following requirements’ at the end of the first paragraph.

· Page 2: click on the text ‘international travellers….’ in the third from the top right hand box.

· Page 3: click on the text ‘submit your ESTA….’ In the top right hand box.

· Page 4: Click ‘apply’ at the bottom of the left hand box.

· Page 5: click the ‘yes’ disclaimer and click next.

· Page 6: entry you passport details in the relevant boxes

o City where boarding is ‘Manchester’ – Carrier name is ‘US Airways’ – Flight Number is ‘US 196’ – Address while in the US – this cannot be fully completed at this time and therefore click ? and follow the instructions. Location is ‘Annapolis’ – Questions: these should all be answered ‘NO’ – please advise us if any ‘yes’s’ apply – click Certification – click next

General Travel Details: The flights for the Metro Girls tour group have now been booked, and the details are Depart Manchester International Airport, Thursday 22^nd July 2010, Flight US Air ???, Manchester – Philadelphia – Private coach to Annapolis, arriving approx 5.00pm USA time; Depart from Annapolis, Thursday 5^th August 2010; Private coach Annapolis – Philadelphia – Flight US Air ??? to Manchester, arriving Friday 6^th approx 8.00am UK time.

Player Fitness: The enclosed ‘Fitness Road Map’ sets out guidance for players to raise their fitness levels in preparation for training and in particular the tour. If your daughter already undertakes fitness training, this information not intended to replace that, but compliment it; however we ask that all fitness training is done on the basis the it compliments field lacrosse.
