2014 USA MetroGirls Tour; Wednesday 23rd July to 7th August 2014
Next Training Sunday 22nd June @ Brooklands Lacrosse Club, 9.45am till 4.00pm
This training day includes the Team Photograph in team kit (immediately on arrival) and a game against an open-age Brooklands team; draw 2.15pm.
Tour Kit: We have taken delivery of the playing shirts & skorts, travel shirts, hoody’s and Game-Day shirts, and the tour bags, backpacks and boot bags will arrive on 1st July!
Team Photograph: A professional photographer is attending the training session on Sunday 22nd for a squad photograph in our game-day kit for the commemorative tour brochure and a gift for you and the American host families.
Tour Brochure: Produced to provide a commemorative gift and promotion of the exchange programme, and will include details of the MetroGirls tour group, information about the location of the participating lacrosse communities in Anne Arundel County, Cheshire and Lancashire, and advertisements of supporting organisations and individuals. Please contact us if you wish to be included.
Medical Consent: Thank you for those returned received already; please can the remainder be complete and returned to us at the next training session on the 22nd June 2014.
Questions Answered:-
- Guidance on the amount of spending money? A. Approx. £150, plus cost of any clothing/lax kit intending to be purchased (deposits to HSBC MetroGirls Lacrosse, Sort code 40-31-24, account # 02294079, cheque made payable to ‘MetroGirls Lacrosse’ and posted to 26 Grenville Road, Hazel Grove, Stockport, SK7 5AF.)
- Length of long white playing socks? A. To extend to lower calf to prevent ingress of astro-turf material getting inside socks, which occurs when wearing liner socks.
- Are white support shorts still required? A. No, the playing kit skorts fulfil this requirement.
- How strict is the ‘predominantly white’, travel trainers? A. Travelfootwear MUST be a sports trainer and not the canvas shoes type; the colour is less critical.
On-Tour Game & Activity Reports: these will be available through the web site www.metrogirlslacrosse.org and also by twitter, @MetroGirlsLAX throughout the period of the tour for you to be able to receive game results, activities and photographs.
Remaining Training Dates: Sunday 6th July 2014, 10.00am till 4.00pm @ TBA; Sunday 13th July 2014, 10.00am till 4.00pm Final Training and Alumni Game; including Parents Meeting and Kit hand-out, @ Mellor.
